“I was walking in South Pasadena, and heard a tree crew yelling orders, chainsawing branches, and grinding them in a wood chipper. But I was sure I heard one worker up very high, and went to investigate. I had to capture his death defying work high in the treetops!
As a live action storyboard artist, I have always had to tell a story clearly and draw very fast. That same approach is in my sketchbook and paintings, but I am trying to slow down and focus on using just a single image to tell my story.”
Josh Sheppard has worked for 30 years drawing live action storyboards for feature films and TV in Los Angeles. He lives with his family in South Pasadena. He loves classic art and illustration and enjoys plein air adventures.
