The Darkroom at the Los Angeles Makery is open.

Step out of the digital and into the physical.

Our fully equipped photo darkroom features 8 enlargers and is ideal for black and white printing, film photography, and most alternative processes. Whether you’re making your first print or returning to a lifelong practice, the space is designed to support both precision and experimentation.

The darkroom includes access to:

— Professional enlargers

— Large sink and wash area

— Trays and essential workspace

— Room to work independently or alongside others

Available to rent by the hour (3-hour minimum) or reserve the entire darkroom for private workshops, classes, or group sessions.

Offered per person, per hour or as a flat-rate private rental.

There is nothing like watching an image appear slowly, exactly as you imagined it.

The darkroom is currently available on week days between 10am-1pm and weekends from 12-6pm.
