"Noppori - Cat's Playground" by Miki Stromberg

$300.00

Medium: Pastel, Colored Pencil, Ink

Dimensions: 12×16×1

“This piece was done in 2022. While in Nippori meeting my friend, whom I hadn’t seen in forever, I was Initially capturing the visual fusion of a traditional Japanese tiled roof and its exposed plumbing along the wall, when this cat came strolling along one of the pipes. My friend told me that we were very close to the ‘cat town of Tokyo’. I realized then that I was catching a glimpse into their playground.”

“I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Tokyo and now call Los Angeles home. My art is a fusion of cultural influences that capture the subtle, often unnoticed moments of nostalgia and curiosity. I have displayed my artwork in various places, including the City of Santa Clarita, Los Angeles Makery, and Boundary Artist Group. I currently work in entertainment industry particularly as a scenic painter, which has taught me how to use color and texture to create environments that draw people in. The experience has helped me make art that turns everyday scenes into something special and uncover the hidden beauty.”
