"Intersection" by Sue Peck

$2,500.00

Medium: multimedia (oil, various objects)

Dimensions: 40x30x1.5

“This was my first experiment with oil and objects. I start every work with a digital painting, using iPad and Apple Pencil, which I did while parked near this intersection. I completed the painting in my studio. It was a long process, taking months and lots of fun objects. I’ve been told that the painting evokes the feeling of reaching a turning point where one can go forward into a dark place, or choose a better path.

I like to experiment with different mediums and capture everyday scenes with an unusual twist.”

I’m Sue Peck, a California artist inspired by the sun-soaked coastlines, lively city streets, and the everyday magic of West Coast life. My pieces blend bold color, graphic lines, and a touch of whimsy—capturing the nostalgia and spirit of Southern California. Whether I’m painting a bustling boardwalk, a quiet lifeguard tower, or an urban intersection, my goal is to spark interest and a sense of place. Each piece is a celebration of color, memory, and the stories that make California unique.
