Theme: “Playtime: Happy Gilmore, Golf, & Putt-Putt”
The Los Angeles Makery invites artists of all disciplines to submit work for our February 2026 exhibition celebrating the chaotic joy, humor, and spirit of Happy Gilmore, golf culture, and miniature golf. We’re seeking painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video, mixed media, and interactive works that play with themes of sportsmanship, competition, comedy, and the absurd.
Whether you’re channeling peak Adam Sandler energy, reimagining classic golf iconography, or crafting a surreal putt-putt experience — we want to see it.
IMPORTANT DATES
Submission Deadline: January 15, 2025
Notification of Acceptance: January 20, 2026
First Thursday Soft Opening: February 5, 2026
Public Opening Reception: February 8, 2026
Artist Talk: February 22, 2026
Closing Reception & Award Ceremony: February 28, 2026
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Open to artists working in all mediums.
Up to 5 artwork submissions per artist.
Provide:
Artist name
Contact information
Artwork titles, medium, dimensions, and year
JPG or PNG images (or video links for time-based work)
Brief artist statement (optional)
Works must be ready to install, with clear hanging or display instructions if needed.
Selected artists are responsible for delivery and pickup of artwork.
