CALL FOR ART: Made in Clay
A Contemporary Los Angeles Ceramic Exhibition
Hosted by the Los Angeles Makery/LAM Gallery
The Los Angeles Makery is now accepting submissions for Made in Clay, a contemporary ceramic exhibition celebrating the innovation, diversity, and artistry of clay-based practices in Los Angeles. We welcome artists working in all forms of ceramic expression—functional, sculptural, experimental, conceptual, and interdisciplinary.

• Call for Art Opens: Now
• Submission Deadline: December 20, 2025
• Acceptance Notifications: December 28, 2025
• Soft Opening Reception: January 8, 2026 | 6–9 PM
• Official Opening Reception: January 11, 2026 | 1–5 PM
• Artist Talk: February 5, 2026 | 6–8 PM
• Closing Ceremony: February 22, 2026
Eligibility
Open to ceramic artists living or practicing in the Greater Los Angeles area. All contemporary interpretations of clay are welcome.
Accepted Works
• Ceramics of any scale
• Functional ware, sculptural pieces, installation elements, mixed-media works incorporating clay
• New, recent, or previously exhibited work is acceptable (if you hold the rights to show it)
Submission Requirements
• Up to 3 artworks for consideration and a $25 submission fee
• High–quality images (labelled as lastname_art title.jpg) with titles, dimensions, materials, and year
• Artist bio (100–150 words)
• Optional: Artist statement (up to 250 words)
• Contact information and website/Instagram
• A brief description of your ceramic practice
