Menopause Narratives Art Project
by Adeola Davies-Aiyeloja
A bold and deeply human exploration of menopause through the transformative lens of art. In this visually rich collection, multidisciplinary artist, advocate, and educator Adeola Davies-Aiyeloja brings her signature blend of painting, printmaking, and wearable art to one of life’s most universal yet underrepresented experiences.
Drawing on themes of resilience, ancestral memory, and the empowerment of marginalized voices — hallmarks of her Yoruba-influenced practice — Davies-Aiyeloja creates space for stories that are too rarely told. Through workshops and creative dialogue, she invites participants to share their journeys and find connection through shared expression.
Menopause Narratives Art Project is more than an art book. It is a conversation, a community, and a call to see menopause not as an ending, but as a powerful chapter deserving of witness, celebration, and art.
Featured in public and private collections including the Riverside Art Museum and the Chaffey Community Museum of Art. Davies-Aiyeloja’s work has appeared on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and HBO’s Insecure.
