South Bath with Sarah Pigion featuring art by Caron G Rand

  • Los Angeles Makery 260 South Los Angeles Street Los Angeles, CA, 90012 United States (map)

Immersed in the main gallery amid Caron Guerrant Rand’s solo exhibition DARK/KARD, curated by Susan R. Karhroody, join us for an afternoon of sound healing.

Sarah Pigion discovered sound healing while navigating a health struggle after the birth of her first child. A classical singer, dancer, songwriter, and Craniosacral Therapist & bodyworker, she has since dedicated herself to weaving together health, science, art, and healing.

Her training spans work with leading sound healing practitioners, including an immersive apprenticeship in Spain, where she sang in caves lined with 7,000-year-old paintings — learning ancient techniques of overtone singing, the science of harmonics, and the healing potential of the human voice.

Through Soundbaths, Sarah translates these practices into sonic frequencies designed to help each person tune into their best self.

“Sound as vibrational healing medicine is a powerfully effective yet noninvasive healing modality which can restore wellness and function at a cellular level.” — Sarah

She’ll guide the room through healing tones on Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, frame drum, chimes, tuning forks, and her own voice — all within the striking, layered backdrop of DARK/KARD.

Bring a yoga mat, blanket, and pillow or neck roll to lie down comfortably.
