“I came to visual arts rather late in life, taking drawing classes, painting (both acrylics and watercolor) when I became a Mom which helped fill the void left by leaving my career in the film industry
I do not have a degree in the arts, but have had the opportunity to learn from many incredible teachers. My work has expanded to also include printmaking, letterpress, textiles arts and most recently collage.
What I love about collage is the freedom it provides, using images, my own and others to make something completely new. Inspiration usually comes from one visual and flows into a theme connected by other imagery, color, shape and mood. I am attracted to surrealist collages, but also love to tell a narrative story.”
