“I usually paint from the photographs I take. I find composing with the camera a good way to experiment and it affords me a way to easily make changes in order to achieve the best composition for the painting I am working on. Oils are my medium of choice but I have also enjoyed using different materials to make Art. I have been known to use acrylics and various water media, collage, and different kinds of mark-making to enhance my work. I also enjoy 3-dimensional processes such as ceramics and assemblage. I have always dabbled in the visual arts, taking workshops with many different artists and teachers here and abroad, thereby being influenced and inspired by a wide array of Art-makers.”
