Tribute to the Goddess, 2013. Mixed media collage on canvas, 90” x 72”. $777
I made this piece in 2013 for my senior thesis exhibition from Los Angeles County High School for the Arts' Visual Arts department here in downtown LA; I lay rose petals on the floor under her display and lit votive candles in honor of the spirit of Gaia, the mother goddess of our planet Earth. Over 10 years later, the sentiment and intention of this piece of art is still potent in my creative practice and my life.
