Citizen Kane is a Costa Mesa, CA based artist who uses her love for people and social equality to create her art.
Her journey began as a Physiology student at Michigan State University. Because of her interest in interdisciplinary sciences, she amassed knowledge which has manifested itself in the form of art.
After facing discrimination in the fragrance industry, Kane began to regularly participate in social activism in the workplace and use art as a form of therapy.
With time, she was able to channel her experiences as a powerful ethnic woman into subversive art that challenges the status quo. Kane currently utilizes acrylics, mixed media collages, sculptural work, storytelling and digital platforms to bring her visions to life.
When Kane is not producing art, she enjoys life with her partner and two cats, tennis matches, and raising awareness for social injustice and feminist activism.
