Artist Statement: My name is Kristen Denton. I have lived all over the US but always end up back in Los Angeles! I create assemblage art that combines vintage discarded objects into a new more beautiful, interesting sculpture. The search for the perfect treasure for my art is half the fun. The other half is the process of creative problem solving (figuring out how to successfully attach everything together)! I have done sculpting, needle felting, digital painting, paper crafting, as well as 3D computer modeling. Assemblage art is my favorite form of expression. "El Arte es Vida"
