Jean Cunningham is a contemporary abstract painter based in Los Angeles, California.
Jean was born, raised, and went to college in Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Arts majoring in Fine Art and Computer Science at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Jean combined her artistic and technical skills at various CGI companies in New York, Ohio and California. Jean’s feature film credits include Jurassic Park and Antz.
Jean has painted throughout her career and now enjoys painting full-time. Jean is proud to be a member of Los Angeles Art Association, Pasadena Society of Artists and Women Painters West. Over the last two years Jean has exhibited at LAAA Gallery 825, TAG Gallery, Pasadena Museum of History, and Whites Gallery.
Artist Statement
My paintings are composed of abstract forms and atmosphere developed through layers of colors and textures. The juxtapositions that arise are intriguing--I love the conversations they have with each other.
