“From my early childhood I was the “creative kid”, I always found the most creative or colorful way to complete any assignment. When it came time to go to college the only thing I knew I wanted to do was be an artist. I received a B.F.A in Art at UCLA. Finding a job was the next step and I used my love of color, typography and layout by entering the world of graphic design, primarily in the cosmetic and beauty categories. Now 25 years later I find myself wanting to go back to the canvas. My first pieces have been inspired by resistance and the free press. Currently I am working on mixed media collages using vintage found items and paper. I enjoy the challenge of fusing my graphic design skills, love of typography and vintage ephemera into something that speaks to the viewer.”
