Artist Statement: My current work incorporates discarded beauty and self-care objects as both subject and medium—part of my ongoing investigation into cast-off materials. These objects carry their own histories of use and abandonment, arriving in my studio already loaded with intimate narrative.
Cosmetics exist in a realm of deliberate invisibility, meant to be applied then hidden away. By bringing them into the gallery space, I make visible what is typically concealed, transforming private feminine ritual into public dialogue, challenging what deserves attention and scrutiny.
Each piece becomes a meditation on the relationship between public and private self, finding in these cast-offs a language for experiences that often remain unspoken.
