Metal Mania at The Los Angeles Makery

We want your metal art in December! The Los Angeles Makery presents three floors of Metal Mania, with metal themed shows in each of our galleries. In the Main Floor Gallery we will show metal art, 50% of which is made with the metal/s of your choice. A special category for jewelry will be included, and will show in the Founders Room. The LAM Gallery is hosting Adam’s Forge and the California Blacksmith’s Association show, which will highlight the art of blacksmithing. If you’d like to submit to them please contact Adam’s Forge. SubTerra is hosting a heavy metal music themed show. What inspires you most? Submit to one or all!!

The show runs from December 3 - 27, 2026. The submission deadline is November 15th at Midnight. We’ll preview the show during First Thursday, December 3. The official openings will be December 6th from 2-5pm. There will be blacksmithing demos that day. Hell yeah!! On Second Saturday, December we’ll have a metal make and take and holiday sale! The closing on the 27th will be artist talk time, and when you can come pick up your work. Good times!!

Submission Guidelines for Metal Mania - The Jewelry Show

1. Eligibility

• Open to all artists worldwide, aged 18 and older.

2. Submission Requirements

• Artists may submit up to three works.

• Each submission must include:

• High-resolution images (JPEG or PNG) of each piece or concept drawing for
works in progress sent to thelosangelesmakery@gmail.com.

• Title, medium, dimensions, and year of creation for each work.

• An artist statement (up to 250 words) introducing the public to your jewelry.

• A brief artist bio (up to 150 words).

• Optional: A link to your website or portfolio.

3. How to Submit

• Submit all materials via our [online submission form]

• There is a non-refundable submission fee of $25 per artist.

4. Selection Process

• A panel of esteemed artists and art professionals will review all submissions.

• Selected artists will be notified by November 16, 2026.

5. Exhibition Details

• Venue: The Founders Room Gallery at The Los Angeles Makery

• Exhibition Dates: December 3-27, 2026

• Key Events:

• First Thursday Art Night Show Preview: December 3, 2026 - 6-9pm

• Opening Reception: Saturday, December 6, 2026 - 2-5pm

• Second Saturday Open Studio: December 12, 2026 - 6-9pm. Make and take a
mini sword.

• Artist Talk & Closing Event: Sunday, December 27, 2–5 PM

Important Dates

• Artwork Delivery Window: November 21-22 and November 28-29, 2026,
between 12–5 PM

Commission and Pricing:
The Los Angeles Makery takes a 30% commission on all sold artwork. Please price your work accordingly.
